Taliesin West

We went to Taliesin West, the winter “camp” of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It has been preserved as a UNESCO site. Afterwards, we chased down a couple of other Wright pieces: the spire he created as part of his design for the Arizona capitol building (his design was rejected) and his glass design that represents the saguaro cactus.

Then we came back downtown, visited Tap That and the Pedal Haus brewery, and took the Waymo I posted earlier to dinner at the Arrogant Butcher.

Birding

Today Pete had to spend the whole day in meetings, so I hired a guide and birded for 11 hours, then came back and walked to dinner and back. Total 6.4 miles.
