Saguaro National Park

We visited the Saguaro National Park, saw the Signal Hill Petroglyphs, went to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, had a delicious Mexican lunch, and ended at Agua Caliente Regional Park.

Madera Canyon

We started out the next day by driving up into Madera Canyon to the Santa Rita Lodge for some birding! I haven’t processed my bird photos yet but I got 15 new lifers (in addition to the 9 I had yesterday). The backlit hummingbird in the video here is a Broad-billed hummingbird. It was right over my head, which is why I got it on my phone! Anyway we did a hike as well, then stopped by the Mission San Xavier del Bac, and on the way into Phoenix stopped at Hole in the Rock. It was a much easier day than yesterday, if you don’t count the fiasco we had when we got lost…in a parking garage. Only us!

Sedona
